Hi friends! I'm Haley Johnson, the proud teacher of a Kindergarten/ First grade self-contained Gifted class in South Louisiana. I just started my 2nd year of teaching and I could not be more thrilled! Being the teacher of a two grade-level classroom can be chaotic at times, but it has truly taught me more about teaching than I could have ever imagined! I enjoy the flexibility my classroom affords me and the knowledge it has provided me about the curriculum in Kindergarten and 1st grade.
When not teaching, I am most definitely spending time with my friends and family. I also LOVE to travel, cook, and read. I definitely *attempt* to be crafty, and I have so much fun working on new projects with my best teacher friends.
I am so excited you have stopped by my little blog for a visit. I enjoy sharing all of my fun (and crazy) experiences with you. I believe teaching is not a one-woman (or man) kind of job, and it is done best when ideas are shared with one another. That is exactly what I hope to do with you! I try my hardest to make each day with my students meaningful, challenging, and FUN! Our students spend 180 precious days with us each year, and I believe it a teacher's job to make sure those days are not wasted.
